San Francisco Main Library
100 Larkin St Hispanic Latino Room B
San Francisco , CA
Dear friends and colleagues,
· Are you passionate about pedestrian safety?
· Do you want to help make San Francisco’s streets safer for seniors and people with disabilities?
The City recently launched Walk First — a data driven process that will review existing City crash data, collect community feedback, document findings, and analyze risk factors that cause pedestrian collisions. Through Walk First we are hoping to have a much better understanding of where and why crashes are happening throughout the City. This initiative will provide our city with a roadmap and prioritized list of the capital improvement pedestrian safety projects needed to reduce the number of serious pedestrian-related injuries and fatalities by 50% by 2021.
The senior and disability communities need to be a part of this important discussion. There will be a focus group held on January 11 aimed specifically at seniors and people with disabilities. Please see event details below:
Date: Saturday, January 11th, 2014
Time: 10:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Location: San Francisco Main Library, 100 Larkin St.
Hispanic/Latino Room B
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. You must RSVP to walkfirstsf@gmail.com if you are interested in participating.
